"Glory to God in the highest..."

I decided that I needed to write a Christmas letter after the creative letters from others started rolling in. I suddenly felt like I had jipped all the people that we sent cards to this year... so here is my "online letter" to you all.
As my Mother-in-law would say, "If we could just forget about the year 2007, that would be great!" (This letter is starting really cheery so far isn't it!) But she's right, this has been a year to remember, or maybe not... We as the Johnson's have had our fair share of challenges this year... Asher got pneumonia, Tim was hospitalized for meningitis, Owen has had a mysterious rash that finally has been cured thanks to a lactose free diet, and I have had a mystery illness that no one knows how to cure. Tim lost his Grandma to cancer, my mom was jobless twice this year, and my step-dad dealt with his fair share of hardships as well. Tim's sister had an awful labor and is still recovering from it almost 7 months later... With all of this, now you can see why I quoted Trudy :) It's been a hard year indeed, but the one thing that we have seen is how faithful God truly is. Even though we had a rough year, He is still guiding us and helping us to grow through the struggles, and for that I will never forget this year!
Now for some happy updates:
Owen is now 2 1/2 and is the most lively child I know. There isn't a day that goes by where we aren't amazed by his personality. He will tell you that, he's "moderately gifted", and "so dang cute!" He brightens our world, and has a funny face or saying to combat anything. We love him so much!
Asher is what we like to call quietly confidant. He is the exact opposite of Owen, but just has funny and light hearted, but in a more quiet, sure of himself, way. If any of you know Tim really well, you would see how similar Asher is to him! Asher is now 15 months and is running alongside his brother... my hands are full!!! He is an amazing "smoocher" and is so cuddly, we are so blessed to have him in our life!
Tim is still working at KTIS in the cities where he is the Imaging Producer, as well as the overnight DJ. He seems to enjoy it, although no job is perfect, he makes us proud everyday! He is also the worship music leader for the Saturday night contemporary service at our church. He has come along way with his musical talent, and if you were to ask me, I would tell you that he should just be a full time musician! Tim works hard for this family, and for that I am so grateful!
As for me (Whitney) I am still at home with these boys and loving almost every minute of it! I do have my days where I wonder what I was thinking, but to have the privilege to take care of my own children is a gift. I am now the proud momma of a new dog, Carly, she is awesome! I told Tim that I didn't think our girl would be so hairy, but I'll take what I can get. We all love her, including Miles, they have bonded quite nicely!
We all hope that you find yourself happy and healthy in the new year and that you have a very Merry Christmas. "Rejoice, a Savior is born!"
